Volumes 1 to 3 have the bookplate of Joseph Robertshaw Raines, Burton Pidsea Hull on f.e.p. Volume 4 was published after his death in 1884. Volume 2 has a very faint inscription on f.f.e.p. Volumes 1 and 2 dated 1882 and 1881 were published by A. B. Bayes, Brighouse. Volumes 3 and 4 dated 1883 and 1885 published by T. Harrison, Bingley, who also bound all 4 volumes, binders stamp on endpaper. A very handsome set .
